Thistlefield Plants and Design began life in 2002, born out of a passion for plants. The business was established in a field in Norfolk, which was overrun with weeds and thistles, hence our name. The nursery was set up growing a range of plants, mainly perennials from the everyday varieties to the more unusual. Later that year the landscaping side of the business was established.
Our nursery is not open to the public, but our plants can be purchased from us at events throughout Norfolk, please see our events page for details. We are also happy to offer a mail order service, please contact us for details.
Over the years the business has grown. The design and landscaping is now the largest side of the business, although we still run the nursery, it is on a smaller scale. In 2015 the business expanded further when we designed our own range of woven fencing, which we have had many happy customers. We were pleased to be asked to install our fencing on one of the gardens, of Alan Titmarsh’s, Love your Garden programme on ITV. Examples of a few of our landscaping projects and our fencing can be seen on our galleries page.
We are currently working on a design for a show garden at this years Sandringham Flower in July.
Last Summer we designed and constructed at Sandringham Flower Show, the Show Garden in the Royal marquee, for HRH Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall to view, The garden was awarded a Large Gold medal .
In May 2016 we were invited to be part of Alan Titmarsh’s, Love Your Garden TV programme, working with Alan and his team installing our Norfolk Woven Fencing in the garden. The Programme was aired on ITV on 19th July 2016.
